Located on 15 acres in the beautiful countryside of Baldwin County, Alabama, Dewberries Labradors received AKC kennel status in 2002. Our Labradors enjoy lots of sunshine, clean country air and protected open spaces. Visitors are constantly impressed with the facilities and well-adjusted, happy Labs. Each of our "babies" receives individualized attention and care, and we adhere to consistent yet loving training practices. All litters are whelped inside where they remain until placement in new homes or incorporated into our family. Pups are constantly handled, caressed and exposed to sudden noises in preparation for society.

Our "love of Labs" began in 1994 with the addition of Indigo to our home.

She proved to be a loving and affectionate dog, and we quickly decided to add Amber in 1995.

Since then, our "dog family" has grown and we now have Blacks, Yellows, and Chocolates.

When we decided to begin breeding we were, and continue to be, determined to seek the best conformation (English type), health, temperament, and quality. With many hours of research, networking, and travels we believe we offer the highest quality Labrador Retrievers in the region.

The intent is to keep our kennel small and selective, providing the best care and training. We love our Labs and only place pups in homes that have convinced us they share our love of the breed and commitment to their care. Selective breeding, using only OFA and CERF cleared studs and dams with significant pedigrees and calm temperaments is the standard practice at Dewberries Labradors.

We have "older" Labs available for placement, ranging in age from 1 year to 6 years, male and female, all colors. These are "started dogs", crate and leash trained and house broken. Contact us via the Wantabe form for more information.
